August has been a month of learning, leadership and meaningful experiences at CS Academy. From celebrating sporting achievements and cultural traditions to embracing hands-on academic learning, student leadership, future pathways and experiential journeys, our students have continued to learn with curiosity and purpose. These experiences remind us that education is not confined to textbooks or classrooms; it is about building confidence, resilience, responsibility and a lifelong willingness to explore. A Golden Sprint – Kovai Sahodaya Athletic Meet 2026

CS Howlers, the official school band of CS Academy, emerged as Champions at Clash of Chords Rock Fest 2026, held at Good Shepherd International School, Ooty.
Ezhan of Grade 2 delivered an impressive performance at the Kovai Sahodaya Athletic Meet 2026, held at Nehru Stadium, Coimbatore, on 19 August 2026.Demonstrating speed, agility and determination, he secured Gold Medals in both Baby Hurdles and the 50M race. His achievement reflects the confidence, perseverance and sporting spirit nurtured through participation in athletics.The remarkable performance marked a proud sporting achievement for the school and celebrated the enthusiasm and dedication of its young athletes.
CS Howlers, the official school band of CS Academy, emerged as Champions at Clash of Chords Rock Fest 2026, held at Good Shepherd International School, Ooty. Competing against 14 schools from across South India, the young musicians delivered a confident and energetic performance to secure the top spot. The achievement marked a remarkable progression from their Runners-Up finish in the previous edition to lifting the championship trophy this year. As part of the victory, the band received the Championship Trophy, Rockschool London Certificates, three CASIO keyboards, and G-SHOCK watches. The success reflects the students’ dedication, musical talent, teamwork, and commitment to continuous practice, demonstrating how passion and perseverance can transform ambition into achievement.
Grade 5 students took their learning beyond the classroom by exploring their Science lesson on Sound in the Music Room. Through hands-on exploration of musical instruments, including the drum kit, students observed how vibrations produce sound and investigated variations in pitch and loudness.The experience also helped students understand how sound travels, connecting scientific concepts with real-world experiences. By recording their observations in their notebooks, students strengthened their observation, enquiry and analytical skills. The Music Room became an engaging space for scientific discovery, where students could hear, feel and experience the concepts they were learning.
Students from Grades 4 to 7 brought mathematics to life at the Math Entrepreneur Expo, showcasing creative models and interactive projects such as Smart Salary – Plan for Tomorrow, Eiffel Tower structures, Ferris Wheels, Crack the Code games, puzzles and more. The expo demonstrated how mathematical concepts can be applied to real-world challenges. Students used critical thinking to explore budgeting, calculate angles, solve problems and develop logical solutions. The experience also strengthened self-leadership as students planned their projects, managed time and resources, overcame challenges and confidently presented their ideas. Digital literacy was another key element, with students using digital research, design tools and QR-based explanations to enhance their presentations and make their projects more interactive. More than a mathematics exhibition, the expo provided a platform for students to think critically, create independently and apply their learning with purpose, nurturing confident learners equipped for the future.
Grades 1, 2 and 3 celebrated Janmashtami with joy and devotion, bringing the spirit of Krishna’s birth to life through soulful bhajans. Dressed as little Krishnas and Radhas, the students came together to create a vibrant and festive atmosphere. Through dedicated practice and group performances, the celebration encouraged self-leadership, collaboration and musical expression. The event offered students an opportunity to learn, participate and celebrate together, making Janmashtami a memorable experience filled with joy, devotion and togetherness.
Level 5 students celebrated Onam with enthusiasm, exploring Kerala’s rich cultural heritage through the story of King Mahabali, a vibrant dance performance and an Onam song. The celebration featured engaging Onam Station Activities, including Onam Sadhya, Vallamkali, Pulimukham, Hasthakala Thoranam, Aana Chamayam and Pookalam. Through these hands-on experiences, students developed collaboration, communication, creativity, teamwork, cultural awareness and an appreciation for sustainability. The celebration also fostered intercultural understanding, encouraging students to appreciate diverse traditions, customs, art forms and food practices. As part of the Cooking Without Fire activity, students prepared Aval with Jaggery, connecting traditional food practices with experiential learning. The celebration beautifully brought together culture, creativity and hands-on learning, nurturing respect, inclusion and an appreciation of diverse cultural traditions.
The Investiture Ceremony 2026–27 at CS Academy marked a significant milestone as students from Grades 4 to 7 stepped forward to embrace their leadership responsibilities. The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp and prayer, followed by a captivating dance performance. The highlight of the event was the presentation of badges and sashes to the newly appointed student leaders, including the Head Boy and Head Girl, Cultural Captains, ILOS Captain, and House Captains of Agni, Prithvi, Aakash and Vaayu. The newly appointed leaders then took the Oath of Office, pledging to lead with courage, serve with kindness, speak with wisdom and act with integrity. Head Boy Krishiv and Head Girl Akkrithi shared their vision for the year ahead, setting the tone for a meaningful year of leadership and service. The ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter, inspiring students to lead not merely with titles, but with purpose, responsibility and integrity.
Grade 3 students explored the importance of goal setting through a meaningful Circle Time session. Sitting together, they shared their personal goals and reflected on how small, consistent steps can lead to meaningful progress. The session encouraged students to listen respectfully, support their peers and recognise that growth is a continuous journey. Through open sharing and reflection, they developed greater self-awareness, confidence and a sense of ownership of their learning. The experience reinforced the idea that every goal begins with a step and every step brings students closer to becoming their best selves.
Level 4 students brought the poem The Little Kite to life through a hands-on kite-flying experience. Having explored the poem in class, they stepped outdoors to experience the kite’s journey from fear to flight. As the kites dipped, rose and soared, students discovered the importance of patience, perseverance and focus while learning to manage excitement and frustration. The experience helped them connect the poem’s message with their own lives, recognising that growth often begins when they find the courage to move beyond fear and try. A reflective writing activity followed, allowing students to express their experiences and draw personal connections with the poem. The activity nurtured resilience, collaboration, critical thinking, confidence and a growth mindset, demonstrating how meaningful learning can extend beyond the classroom and into lived experiences.
As part of the 10 Crore Nasha Mukti Pratigya Maha Abhiyan 2026, an Awareness and Pledge Programme was conducted on 7 August 2026 in collaboration with the Brahma Kumaris Medical Wing. Students of Grades 6 to 12 participated in an awareness session highlighting the harmful effects of addiction and the importance of positive thinking, self-discipline and healthy lifestyle choices. The programme encouraged students to make informed decisions and recognise the value of maintaining physical and mental well-being. The session concluded with students taking the Nasha Mukti Pratigya, pledging their commitment to contribute towards an addiction-free India.
Grade 2 students came together for a series of engaging assemblies exploring themes such as Friendship Day, Monsoon Magic, Independence Day and Tiny Steps – Big Changes. Through thoughtful presentations, songs, activities and inspiring messages, students explored meaningful ideas while confidently sharing their learning with the wider school community. Each assembly provided an opportunity to express themselves, collaborate with peers and connect classroom learning with everyday experiences. The sessions nurtured communication, confidence, creativity, collaboration and self-leadership, transforming each gathering into a joyful space for learning, expression and connection.
As part of the ISP Changemakers – Sustainable Campus programme, the Smart Plate Initiative is encouraging students to make healthier and more conscious food choices while reducing food waste. Student Changemakers are driving the initiative through food-waste audits, awareness campaigns, the “Take What You Eat” pledge, and Healthy Lunch Weeks. Regular monitoring and student participation aim to reduce food waste by 30% and encourage more balanced lunches within three months. More than an effort to minimise waste, the initiative is helping students understand how everyday choices can contribute to a healthier and more sustainable school community. It also strengthens key ISP life competencies, including Curiosity, Citizenship, Action, and Collaboration, empowering students to take responsibility and create meaningful change through simple, everyday actions.
As part of the ISP Changemakers Social Impact programme, Drops of Hope – Pocketful of Purpose (POP) is helping students turn everyday choices into meaningful social impact. At the heart of the initiative is the “Three-Envelope” concept – Save, Spend and Donate, introducing students to the fundamentals of financial literacy while nurturing a sense of social responsibility. Through simple, age-appropriate tasks, students learn to earn, plan, save thoughtfully, spend mindfully, and share with those in need. The initiative also encourages students to contribute towards the education and well-being of underprivileged communities, helping them understand how small contributions can create meaningful change. By connecting financial awareness with purposeful giving, POP empowers young Changemakers to recognise that every rupee can make a difference saving for tomorrow, spending wisely today, and sharing to support others.
Future Pathways hosted two online alumni talks that introduced students to emerging career opportunities and diverse professional journeys. The first session, “Engineering Sustainable Futures,” featured an alumna pursuing an MEng in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University, USA. The session explored her academic journey and highlighted how engineering and technology can contribute to sustainable solutions for the future. The second session, “Beyond Sport: Careers in Exercise and Sports Science,” featured Naksatra Senthilkumaran, an alumna of CS Academy Coimbatore and a Clinical Exercise Physiologist in Melbourne, Australia. She shared insights into her academic and professional journey, offering students a closer look at career possibilities within exercise and sports science. Together, the sessions broadened students’ perspectives on career pathways beyond conventional choices, while showcasing how academic interests can evolve into meaningful careers across diverse fields and global settings.
Students exploring international higher education opportunities participated in an information session by the University of Hong Kong (HKU). The session provided insights into the university’s programmes, admission pathways and opportunities available to prospective students. The interaction also highlighted HKU’s scholarship opportunities, with the university having offered substantial scholarships to students in the past. The session reflected the growing interest among students in exploring higher education options in Hong Kong and gaining exposure to global academic opportunities. The engagement enabled students to better understand HKU’s offerings and consider pathways for their future academic journeys.
ACLP students from Grades 9, 10, and 11 participated in an inspiring Alumni Interaction Session on 28 August 2026. The session featured Ms. Julia Shaji Anthikkatt, a CS Academy alumna and MBBS student at Government Stanley Medical College, Chennai. Sharing her journey from school to medical college, Julia spoke about her NEET UG achievement and experiences across academics, leadership, and extracurricular activities. Her reflections offered students valuable insights into navigating challenges, staying focused on their goals, and making the most of opportunities during their school years. The interactive session encouraged students to think about their own aspirations and the purposeful steps needed to turn them into reality. Through an alumni perspective, students gained a closer understanding of the journey beyond school and the possibilities that lie ahead.
Students from Grades 8 to 12 stepped beyond the classroom through a series of field trips that combined exploration, adventure and meaningful learning.
Grade 8 students visited Fantasy Park, Malampuzha, enjoying thrilling rides, water activities and lively moments with peers. Grade 9 students explored Thrissur Zoo and Marine World, gaining greater awareness of wildlife, marine ecosystems and the importance of environmental conservation while strengthening teamwork, discipline and responsibility. Grade 10 students experienced an action-packed day at Silver Storm, featuring Snow World, dry rides, water games and the wave pool. Grade 11 students visited Thanima Farms, Palakkad, participating in zip-lining, sky-cycling, archery, pottery, boating, farm activities and adventure games as part of experiential learning. Grade 12 students travelled to Cochin for a two-day trip featuring Wonderla, a scenic boat ride along Marine Drive, cultural programmes and shopping at Lulu Mall. Across the grades, these experiences fostered confidence, collaboration, independence and camaraderie, creating lasting memories beyond the classroom.
The KG Chai & Chat session brought parents together for a morning of connection, learning and reflection. The session began with an interactive icebreaker that created a warm and engaging space for parents to connect and share. The parenting workshop explored early childhood brain development, nurturing independence and understanding different parenting styles. Parents gained insights into the evolving needs of young children and explored practical ways to encourage confidence, responsibility and independence in everyday life. The session also highlighted the importance of responding to children with greater understanding and sensitivity, while building strong and meaningful parent-child relationships.The morning provided a valuable platform for parents to exchange perspectives, reflect on their parenting approaches and gain practical insights to support their children’s growth and development.
CS Academy celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic spirit and enthusiasm. The celebration commenced with the flag-hoisting ceremony, followed by the Flag Song, National Anthem, Principal’s address and student speeches.The programme featured vibrant cultural performances by the Student Council, including patriotic dances, songs, poetry, speeches and a tableau. An engaging Independence Day Quiz added an interactive element to the celebrations, encouraging students to reflect on India’s history and journey. The day brought the school community together in a celebration of patriotism, unity and national pride, creating a meaningful tribute to the nation.
A Fire Drill was conducted to familiarize students with emergency evacuation procedures and reinforce essential fire safety practices. The drill involved students across the school, including Boarding House students on and off campus. Participants followed designated evacuation routes and assembly procedures, strengthening their awareness of the steps to be taken during an emergency. The activity also emphasised the importance of preparedness, coordination and a calm, responsible response. The drill provided a practical learning experience, reinforcing the importance of safety and readiness in ensuring a coordinated response during emergencies.
